WORKSHOP: How negative past experiences can affect your mental health today

January 6, 2026 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

A Journey Into Understanding: How Your Past Shapes Your Present

Discover how early experiences shape your adult life and learn proven self-regulation, co-regulation, and healing techniques to break free from patterns of anxiety, depression, and relationship struggles in this transformative 90-minute journey to lasting well-being.

Picture yourself settling into a quiet space on a January evening, giving yourself permission to simply be. This isn’t just another workshop—it’s an invitation to witness the invisible threads connecting your earliest experiences to the challenges you face today.

Over 90 minutes, you’ll move through a series of gentle explorations guided by Oren Raz, who understands that trauma doesn’t announce itself with fanfare. Sometimes it whispers through anxiety that feels oddly familiar. Sometimes it shows up as patterns in relationships you can’t quite explain. Sometimes it lives in your body as tension you’ve carried so long you forgot it wasn’t always there.

Who Should Attend?

This workshop welcomes both those on their own healing journey and healers who walk alongside others—therapists, counselors, and practitioners working with clients navigating early trauma. Whether you’re

recognizing your own patterns or deepening your capacity to hold space for others, this experience offers profound insights into how the brain processes and stores early experiences.

What to Expect

Through brief presentations on interpersonal neurobiology and guided reflective exercises, you’ll learn to recognize how early trauma manifests in adult life—in depression, anxiety, relationship struggles, and that persistent sense that something isn’t quite right. You’ll discover practical tools for self-regulation and the transformative power of co-regulation, understanding how “one heart molds the other” through neuroplasticity.

During the workshop, you might feel tender. Reflective. Perhaps surprised by what surfaces when you give yourself permission to look gently at your own story. Afterwards, you’ll leave with compassionate self-awareness and concrete practices—not just understanding what happened, but how to support healing, whether for yourself or those you serve.

This is healing work done with gentleness, not force. With curiosity, not judgment.
